Three problems related to transmission gear slipping have been reported for the 1996 Dodge Ram 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Transmission keeps slipping. It shifts really hard then it doesnt want to shift later on.
Transmission was slipping when accelerating, dealer stated transmission has to be rebuilt. Consumer states that this seems to be a defect, and there should be a recall.
Consumer states while driving the transmission slips notified dealer repaired 40,000 miles later problem reoccured. Please provide any additional information. Ts.
