1 Fuel Hoses Lines/piping And Fittings problem

Failure Date: 11/09/2011

Went to fill my vehicle tank and gas began to suddenly flow out of filler hose. After removing and visually inspecting the filler hose and removing other hoses during testing it was determined that a replacement tank was needed. The on-board refueling vapor recovery (orvr) valve stopped working. After consulting a dealership with the details it was confirmed a new tank was needed. While placing an order for the tank, I was told from a few dealerships that I was on the waiting list. After another call from a local dealership I was told I am number 85 on back order list to receive a new fuel tank and that was just from his dealership. He qouted " they have no eta on that tank. Right now they are working on trucks that are vor concern from other dealers first. Just wanted to keep you informed. " between fuel spitting out of vehicle, taking 15 minutes to put only 10 gallons into tank, and most of all a large back order number. I am wondering or requesting a recall to be possibly placed. The orvr valve can not be replaced do to being plastic welded to the fuel tank.
