Engine Stall problems of the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500

I bought this truck in 2014 from the family of the original owner who was deceased. It now has about 116,000 miles. The engine stalls unexpectedly and randomly at slow speeds, often while turning on curves or at intersections, but not always. I have made all repairs recommended by Dodge and other mechanics, but it still stalls. The Dodge people say they have never seen or heard of this problem, but the internet is full of accounts of very similar situations.

The engine stall which appears you have investigated is concerning for me. Multiple times I have been make a r turn and had the engine "die" in deceleration through the turn resulting in the truck losing power steering and electrical components of the truck. The recent incident almost resulted in me striking a motorcycle waiting in the l hand turn lane for the traffic signal. The engine has stalled in several other turn situations causing me to be restarting at stand still in traffic. I feel this has proven to be a safety concern and not just a inconvenience.

2005 Dodge ram hemi pickup truck. Slowing from 35 mph to take a significant corner when I discover there is no steering to speak of (strongman steering only). I barely make the corner almost hitting a newly renovated church. My next inclination is to pull the truck over and stop and I experience minimal to no brakes with maximum effort. No sensation that it had stalled and no indication on the panel indicator lights. I had the radio of and the fan on low with only road noise and I had no idea the engine had stalled. I've been driving safely for 33 years and this tops the list of freaky incidents and sensations (tops losing a wheel). Turned the ignition off and then back on and the truck started like nothing had happened. Drove the truck straight to the local garage. I'm concerned about the incident (very dangerous) and the fact that there are so many similar compaints about this situation online that relate to the hemi pickups. This could easily cause major accidents to innocent, unknowing people and families.

My Dodge Ram 1500 with a hemi engine has stalled numerous times while slowing down to make a turn at an intersection. When the engine drops down to about 1200 rpm, it just quits without warning, killing the power brakes and power steering mechanism in manual. This truck is over 6000 pounds, adrift, half way through an intersection. Twice I have nearly run over a small vehicle stopped at the intersection. Yesterday I went off the road. Someone will be hurt in one of these instances. I have read numerous posts on this engine problem. Dodge needs to recall this truck and fix this problem.

The engine also has poor oil circulation and an extreme sludging issue to my understanding this causes the truck to shut off as well and should be investigated.

When making a turn at slower speed <35mph, the engine may stall. Extremely dangerous when turning left in front of normal oncoming traffic and engine stalls, power steering goes out and you are left powerless in front of oncoming traffic.

Engine stalling: initially it started off as a shutter when the vehicle turned. This was reported but consequently no action was taken because the mechanic could not feel it for himself. Several complaints later, the mechanic finally felt it and ordered a part(throttle body). That was done but the problem still remained. A little after the part was replaced, the engine started to stall when we would turn. Reported that to the dealer but again, nothing was done because the mechanic said the vehicle was fine. Now, they ordered a power steering pump that was finally replaced after going in several times and it coming in defective (time ended up being several months). The power steering pump has now been replaced but the engine is having trouble starting (takes about 5-6 attempts) and is stalling now more than ever. It stalls after we turn while driving at a speed no more than 20mph. Now our warranty is over as a consequence and Dodge is not wanting to fix the problem even though we reported this prior to our warranty expiring.

My Dodge Ram 1500 truck with a 4. 7 engine has stalled a couple of time right after I start for the first time in a day and drive to a stop sometime very soon after I start it. The engine has a dip in rpms, and then tries to lurch forward when I'm on the brake, and then stalls. I start it back up and it's fine. It's happened about 5-10 times since I bought it back in April 05. The dealer had no clue what was wrong, they tried keeping it for a week and weren't able to reproduce the problem.

Engine stalling, engine stalls in all driving conditions. Pcm has been updated with new code and still occurs. Several components replaced and still engine stalls. Dodge service department recommended higher octane fuel and the engine still stalls. We have made a total of ten repair attempts and the engine still stalls on average one to two times per week. One occurrence of stalling left the pickup in intersection which caused a near-miss traffic accident.

My trucks engine stalls out on a weekly basis. This occurred yesterday and nearly caused me to crash. I've taken it to the dealer twice and both times they were not able to figure out why this is happening.
