Two problems related to windshield have been reported for the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The volume of air coming from my defroster is inadequate to keep the windshield clear from fog and frost. I have read several on line articles about this problem and it seems quite a few people are having the same issue. I live in California and could only imagine how someone living in a colder climate is dealing with this problem. This definitely can cause an unsafe condition by hampering your vision while driving.
Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving approximately 35 mph, the contact noticed that the defroster was not functioning. The contact stated there was no air flowing through the vents on the dashboard to defrost the windshield. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostics where the technician was unable to diagnose the failure and suggested removing the dashboard to locate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000. Kmj.
