Automatic Transmission Control Module problems of the 2006 Dodge Ram 1500

Two problems related to automatic transmission control module have been reported for the 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 08/11/2006

: the contact stated while backing up from a parking spot, no power was noticed until the engine reached 4000 rpm. The same problem was observed while driving forward for the next two miles. The vehicle was taken to the dealership who determined the ecu was missing the software; cs and tcbs which were updated, but dtc was not performed. The problem was fixed after the repairs.

2 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 05/18/2006

: the contact stated without warning, at various speeds, the vehicles stalls. The vehicle restarts, and the dealership determined the control module needs to be replaced.
