Three problems related to engine shut off without warning have been reported for the 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While I was driving 60 miles an hour down 29 south, the vehicle just shut off, no power steering, no abs brakes, after it came to a complete stop, put it in park, I turned the ignition off, then turned the ignition on and it started up an drove.
The engine shut off while the vehicle was moving in a parking lot. The vehicle was placed in nuetral and re-started. This is a supreme saefty issue as the vehicle loses power steering.
As I was rounding a curve and approaching train tracks,truck lost power. The engine shut off and I had no power steering. I was able to turn the wheel enough to stay on the road and coast over the train tracks. Since then my headlights sometimes flicker on and off at night while driving. Took truck to dealer and was informed it was the tipm and would cost over $900. I don't have the money so I am forced to drive it as is.
