Takata recall. I received a recall notice for the takata air bag inflator last year. I called to schedule an appointment in January, 2016 to have it repaired. I was told they didn't have the parts but would call and they have not called. The dealer is mark Dodge in lake charles, la.

I received a notice of recall on the air bag inflator months ago. This notice also advised that no parts are currently available and I would be notified when available. Yesterday, having heard nothing, I called the dealer and they advised they would put me on a list and I might get a call in ~ 4 months when parts arrive. Nhtsa keeps telling me I am in danger but the car manufacturer doesn't seem to want to respond with any urgency. How do we speed this up?.

There is a safety recall on the driver airbag inflator. The fiat Chrysler website claims that the part is available and should contact a dealer to have it repaired. I called the dealer and they claim there are not any parts and do not know when there will be any parts.

The front passenger airbag inflator housing may rupture while deploying during a crash. The potential for such ruptures may occur in some of the subject airbag inflators after several years of exposure to persistent conditions of high absolute humidity and/or heat aging.
