Front Seat Recliner Problems of Dodge Ram 1500

Front power drivers seat adjuster support tube snapped in half when driving causing the seat to tilt suddenly back a couple of inches starteling the driver and causing momentary loss of control . Dealer refuses to cover cost of repair because truck is out of warranty. G of inches.

While driving vehicle w/ passenger in extended cab seat, driver's seat moves toward steering wheel, driver loses steering control. Took vehicle to dealer & informed needs new front seat.

While driving at 55 mph driver's side seat back suddenly reclined backwards. This occurred because the seat back bolts sheared off.

The vehicles seat recliner utilizes only one recliner mechanism rather than dual mechanisms. The consumer believes this makes the mechanism prone to failure.
