Recieved safety recall # n49/NHTSA 13v-529 called to have repair, dealer said Chrysler is not shipping but one part per week and they have 4 pages of customers waiting on part to repair, does not have any idea when Chrysler will release more parts. Mean while I am driving a truck that may cause oss of control and crash without warning.

What is a reasonable time for a manufacturer to complete a safety recall. I received teh n49 / NHTSA 13v-529 recall in December of 2013, called Jan 6th and made appointment for Feb 4th. At time of appointment I was told no parts were available. Update on sept 30th 2014, I am currently number 92 on the list to get the recall parts. They say they can get 4-6 parts a week, which means my parts won't be available for more than 4 months. If this is truely an 'important' safety recall it should not take more than a year to get the parts replaced.
