1 Front Suspension Hub problem of the 2006 Dodge Ram 2500

Failure Date: 11/16/2016

Multiple repairs to the front end suspension of the vehicle, to the point that we are now paying for the repairs and the dealership denying they replaced the most recent track bar on the truck and blame the tires on the truck. I am really tired of running off into a ditch after hitting a bump in the road or steer to miss a pothole. Just fix the truck correctly and stop making excuses telling us it is our tires when it is a 4x4 and they cannot put more sturdy parts on the front end or take blame for the steering shaft and gear box when these have been recalled under the death wobble. Hub assembly had to be replaced on this truck as well. Trying to turn the vehicle into a parking spot and constantly having to back into a space. This death wobble has gone too far. As far as the electrical they cannot find why the dashboard keeps flickering and we keep blowing fuses or bulbs. It is really getting annoying with this truck and all the repairs which we have had to do this vehicle, and yet take responsibility for it.

2 Front Suspension Hub problem of the 2003 Dodge Ram 2500

Failure Date: 02/28/2012

Traveling on us 58 in suffolk, va. I was forced off the road while trying to avoid an accident and hit a very large water filled pot hole. The results was my driver side front tire came off the vehicle after breaking two lug nuts. The truck slid 300 feet down the road until coming to rest in the median. A usaa repair facility replaced the driver side hub assembly. I moved to kings bay GA. And started to notice a vibration in the steering wheel. The vehicle has 35" off road tire on it so I assumed the tires need to balanced. After about three weeks of driving the real problems arose. I developed the "Dodge death wobble". It is a violent shaking of the steering system that forces you to slow to below 45 miles per hour. It is so violent that a 36 year old navy diver chief, who has been to tactical driving schools for the military, has a difficult time holding it on the road. Now, I have had the Dodge dealership disregard the problem, balance the tires, replace the steering dampener, and the problem still exists.

4 Front Suspension Hub problem of the 2003 Dodge Ram 2500

Failure Date: 11/01/2007

While driving my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 quad cab 4x4 cummins diesel at approximately 35 mph, my right front tire came off causing me to lose control of my vehicle. Exact cost of repair is yet to be decided, but damage was more than moderate. The lug nuts did not fall off. The hub bolts sheered off without warning. Damage is in that tire, the rotor, brake system, front right quarter panel, right side front passenger's door, and suspension system. The police officer said we were lucky to be going so slow around a curve with a 40 foot embankment drop-off. I have read nhsta bulletins and Dodge forum websites and found that this problem is more than common. My truck did have a slight vibration on bumps which I was told was normal. However, after this incident and reading hundreds of other complaints, this issue needs to be handled now. . . With sole responsibility lying on Dodge corporation. This is unsafe. People have been hurt. All readers say the same things and agree that Dodge will not do anything about this problem. We need someone to confront the automakers and demand safety recalls immediately.

5 Front Suspension Hub problem of the 2003 Dodge Ram 2500

Failure Date: 02/08/2007

The front sealed inner wheel bearing failure on Dodge trucks and cars. South point Dodge service department, in austin,TX informs me that they have a lot of failures with this on the newer vehicles. Mine is a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 truck, diesel, failed at 70,000 miles, I have spoke with 2 other Dodge owners in the past 4 days and they also have had the same thing on their Dodge trucks,1 was at 50,000 miles and the other was at 63,000 miles, inner wheel bearing failure on a sealed bearing on the front hubs. These type of failures can cause the front wheel to leave the vehicle cause accident or death. I have been driving Dodge trucks for 18 years and have owned 5 of them. I really believe that this is a major safety issue/defect that really needs to be looked into. Especially when the service department tells me that they see it all the time with these new seal bearings in the hubs on the front wheels.
