One problem related to power steering pump has been reported for the 2003 Dodge Ram 3500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Steering box gears disintegrated due to misalignment causing steering wheel to lock and failure of related systems. Power steering and power brakes are tied to same pump system. Fortunately, I was in parking lot rather than traveling down freeway when failure occurred.
