The contact owns a 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup. While driving 40 mph the steering wheel failed and the front end began to vibrate violently which over corrected itself and crashed into a ditch. The contact was trying to stop the vehicle by pulling the steering wheel to the left and it failed to work. The dealer advised the contact that there was a safety recall; however, he would have to pay to have the vehicle repaired. The dealer also stated that they would sell him the parts needed to repair the vehicle. The failure mileage was 143,000. Updated 11/16/10.
