Door Problems of Ford Contour

Drivers side door window crank shaft (manual window) snapped off clean inside regulator leaving window utterly inoperable. This happened during normal operation of window during normal operating conditions and warm weather. Dealer claimed "it happens a lot". Very dangerous if vehicle was in a fire, accident, submerged in water etc.

Power locks will not open doors. Consumer took vehicle to dealer and they are replacing the latch. The doors are not power but operate manually. When inside of vehicle the doors will not open from the inside. If you push the button to unlock the doors they still do not unlock. Doors will only open from the outside with a key after unlocking them.

Vehicle was parked, and one of the doors was opened while talking for approximately 15 minutes. Courtesy light fell down due to fixture overheating and burning off the fastener. Dealer notified, and informed consumer to bring vehicle in. Please feel free to provide further details.

Two rear doors on the vehcile are not properly assembled because dust and dirt enter vehicle through those doors. Also, consumer sat in back seat and had to cover eyes. Contacted dealer, and the dealer was not willing to do anything.

I can tell by the marks on the passanger side door that the window assembly was replaced prior to my buying the car. Since I bought the car the drivers side window got stuck down and seeing the cost of the part and labor I couldn't afford to get it fixed so the guy just put the window in the up possision for me. The back drivers side window is so loose that I can't roll it down because it rattles too much. The gas pedel sticks all the time. I can be going whatever speed l;imit and have to hit the gas real quick to get it to slow down and when I get ready to go the pedel is stuck again and I have to push hard and then it all of a sudden goes with a jerk. This has been the car from hell.

The interior dome light & cover fell down while vehicle was parked. Front passenger side door never fitted properly.

There is a short within the electrical system, causing the horn, brinker's and brake light's not to work. Also, all the rubber has fallen off the door panel, and the driver's side shoulder belt doesn't retract.

Consumer can't get into rear door due handle being broken from the outside. Vehicle has been into the shop three times for repairs, and consumer is still having this problems.
