2 Cooling Fan problem of the 2000 Ford Crown Victoria

Failure Date: 01/13/2005

In January 2005, when my 2000 Ford Crown Victoria had 41573 miles on it, the heater fan failed to blow warm air. A local service garage in gaithersburg, MD tested the system and determined that the blower control module had malfunctioned. The module was replaced (part #xw1h-19e624-ab, made in brazil, $95. 88), and labor to replace the module brought the total bill to $259. 27. It should be noted that only 4000+ miles earlier the compressor and dryer had been replaced to provide cool air during the summer.
