While driving at various times electrical problems occur, headlights will go out along with instrument panel. Sometimes the fan on will come on and will cut off even when it is off. When temp is cold heater blows cold air. Hot outside heats works. Ac works fine in both climates. Drivers side window will not come down in certain temperatures. Heads have low visibility and lens cover gets moisture inside. You have to drive at night with high beams to try and see at all. Suspension is definitely a problem on steering car has a swaying motion at times especially in warm weather popping, squeaky notices can also be heard. Vehicle has 92,000 actual miles but is becoming a hazard to drive. Vehicle has been inspected by a reputable repair service who states suspension looks good, parts have grease in joints, etc and heater problem everything was in specs. Large Ford dealership 35 miles away would not schedule an appointment due to car being an older model. If problems are not found, an accident is waiting to happen! note : electrical problems have been ongoing and have increasingly become worse.

2004 Ford Crown Victoria. Consumer requests for investigation/action on continued axle, bearing failures, defects (potential catastrophic loss of control and allegedly defective airbags to protect victims) collapse of safety recall system. The consumer stated Ford did some recall work on the 2003 models with regards to the rear axles and bearings. However, the neglected to correct the defect in the 2004 and possibly later models. Also, the lights were defective and it took an entire decade to rectify the issue.
I was driving and the front of the car fell to the ground with a severe grinding noise.

The right rear (passenger side) of the vehicle body continues to raise up higher than the left side. It is now about 5 inches higher. Have noticed this on other crown vic cars in metro area. Suspect a weak or broken spring.

The rear axle went out on the passenger side approximately 8 months or so before the driver side rear axle started going. There have been recalls for this same thing on the same make, year and model as my car. We replaced the passenger rear axle and are now facing having to replace the driver's side.
Steering this car was a nightmare always pulling to the right. Also brakes constantly grabbing and screeching. Also headlight and suspension problems. Was not happy with this car from start but was slammed into by dealership and chase. . . I am a senior citizen 76 years old. Please help.
In 2006 my husband was a deputy sheriff I'm mt. He was driving a 2006 Crown Victoria with approx 3000 miles. He was heading to an assistance call on the interstate at a high rate of speed. Road conditions were good that day and no abnormalities in the road. I hired a private investigator to investigate some issues. I was informed that the air bags never deployed he was in a head on collision through a fence and then wrapped around a metal sign pole. Cause severe damage to this vehicle. All windows busted out radiator came through the front of the vehicle. Tires were not noted to be defected but I due question a tie rod. And at the time the investigator did run a recall check and nothing noted at that time. His report did state there was deformity noted in the stering colum. In which I have now noticed that there has been some issues with the steering colum. And this aand this accident did result in his fatality.
When driving 45 mph and without warning vehicle would start to shimmy distracting the driver. Dealer has been notified.
Problem: the rear sway-bar and sway-bar housing are damaged. Apparently, the initial problem occurred in the sway-bar housing, causing excess stress on the sway-bar, causing the failure. The local dealer told me Ford is apparently re-manufacturing the parts because of "problems" with this model. The dealer was unsure if Ford was going to initiate a recall on this model. The vehicle is owned by the knox county sheriff's department, but it is assigned to me for permanent use. The vehicle is still under warranty and is (still) awaiting service at lance cunninham Ford in knoxville, TN. My concern is that this demonstrates yet another serious and potentially life-endangering defect with the Crown Victoria. If I had been operating the vehicle at interstate speeds (or above, as is sometimes required in law enforcement work), I feel that (at least) serious bodily injury would have resulted from a crash. I am hopeful that Ford will recognize the defect and take appropriate measures to save lives.
Steering will start to shake while driving, and controling vehicle will become difficult. Contacted dealer, and the dealer replaced and checked some parts on the vehicle, but problem still occurs.
When driving at high speed vehicle vibrates, and moves from side to side. Consumer brought vehicle to repair shop twice for service, but dealer can't determine the problem.
Suspension vibrates when hitting bumps or ruts on the freeway causing the steering to "shimmy" forcing the vehicle to move from left to right uncontrolably.
Suspension problem(?)--car keeps drifting to right. Ford claims this is normal(marjorie hicks--regional office, mahwah,NJ) as does park inn Ford service manager. Two other Ford dealerships, best Ford & universal Ford, road tested vehicle and admitted problem exists / out of specs. Car also seems to "fishtail" on secondary two-lane roads. Generally poor handling. Kindly advise, thank you.

When driving the vehicle veers to the left, and when turning corners the car fishtails. Dealer says that is how the vehicle is suppose to be.
