Tl- the contact owns a 2000 Crown Victoria. The contact stated that the original windshield had some cracks and chipping and decided to have the windshield replaced. The contact stated that the replacement windshield impaired his vision while driving due to the fact that he was unable to see clearly. The contact stated that the windshield had a foggy, hazy smoke screen; the glass was not clear. The contact took the vehicle back to the independent mechanic shop where he bought the windshield. The mechanic there stated that he did not notice a defect with the windshield. The mechanic offered him to replace the windshield but stated that there would be no different than the one that was originally sold to him. The contact took the vehicle to another independent mechanic who informed him he was familiar with these particular fuyao windshields product number: as1m848 dot-459 solar tint dw1506 windshields. The contact drove to the distribution warehouse where these windshields are distributed and was informed that these windshields are not factory replacement windshield; they are aftermarket windshields. The Ford manufacturer was notified of this windshield and was also informed that his particular windshield was not a factory authorized windshield replacement. The contact has had the windshield for three weeks and has had visibility issue each time he had driven the vehicle with this windshield. No failure occurred on the vehicle. Jo.

I purchased this vehicle 11/2015 from a local town. The wipers have started to work or not work occasionally. The last time they stopped I drove directly to the local dealer, crowley Ford in plainville CT. They took it in to access the problem and when they tried them they worked and diagnostics were impossible. I picked up the car and the wipers worked. I drove home 10 miles and tried them again in my driveway, they do not work. My concern is if they work when I get in the car and they stop at highway speed will I hit anything prior to stopping at the side or the road. Does the wiper recall # 05v206000 apply to this vehicle and if not why not ? I feel Ford did not give the dealer good information which cost me a diagnostic fee and did not uncover the problem. How do I get this fixed under the recall # 05v206000 and get reimbursed for the fee for Ford's lack of communicating this problem with their dealer?.
Vehicle's windshield wipers activated in the off position and would not respond to operator's actions. Problem required removal of fuse 17 to stop wiper action. Problem manifested without warning. Diagnosed as faulty wiper motor due to poor drainage of upper and lower wiper trays at and around the location of the wiper motor. Solution required replacement of wiper motor; thorough cleaning of upper and lower wiper trays; replacement of weatherstrip along lower wiper tray; and replacement of screen and gasket over passenger-side air intake.

I have a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria. I am having issues with the electrical system. I only have 2 speeds on my wipers. Either the second intermiten, or full speed. While on full speed, if I turn on the left turn signal, the wipers stop. A while back, my horn would just honk on its own. The worst, which made me take out the fuse, was at 3:30am one night the horn just wouldn't stop. I was asleep in the house. The windows work, sometimes. I can roll down the passenger window with the drivers side button, but have to reach across the car to roll it up with the other door switch. My lights, that are supposed to come on automatically when it's darker outside, seem to be on no matter what time of day it is. I know it is an old car, but for so many things that are wired through the electrical system, it makes me think that part of that is one of your recalls. I tried searching by VIN, but it kept telling me to enter a valid VIN. I checked it again, wrote it down twice, and tried again. I also noticed that you have a recall on the wheels for this car as well. I have replaced the tires 4 times, and the valve stems twice. For three years now, I have driven on bad, or new tires off and on. I thought the rim was bent, but read that there is a recall on steel rims that crack causing air seeping out. I really would like to have this examined. That, and along with the issues, is why I am installing a complaint to you. Down below, when it asks for when it happened, I am not sure. It has been going on so long, I'm not sure when I noticed it exactly. But the horn was close to the date below. Everything has happened since then. Thank you for your time, and hope for a quick resolution to this complaint.
I bought my Ford crown vic 3 years ago paid 6000 dollars, within two weeks the windshield wipers stopped working, then the transmission went out cost me 2500, then horn would go off and would not turn off till I pulled the positive battery cable off. Two weeks later the blinkers stopped working, then the lighting control module started making a loud beeping sound, then my headlights and tail lights stopped working. I revived a recall letter from Ford and it says take my car to Ford dealership and they would fix it free of charge. I went to dealership and they said I had to pay 85 dollars to check and see if the lighting module was bad or not if it was they said they would replace it for free, but there could be additional cost to pay and I would not get my 85 dollars back no matter what. I have a small business of my own, and if I sold something that did not work I would feel bad and would have to fix or replaced it or be sued. What can I do my name is michael john krantz 629 belland Ave vadnais heights minnesota 55127 my email address is kzjmike@gmail. Com and my phone number is 651-703-0248 thank you.
