The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the steering damper, drag link, connecting rod, and ball joint; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 87,000.

2 Power Train problem of the 2022 Ford E-250

Failure Date: 10/13/2021

The contact owns a 2022 Ford f-250. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the vehicle independently shifted into neutral without warning. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 460.

3 Power Train problem of the 2004 Ford E-250

Failure Date: 04/02/2020

The contact owns a 2004 Ford f-250. The contact stated while driving 45 mph, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The vehicle coasted to the side of the road and the contact waited for a minute to restart the vehicle before starting to drive however, the failure persisted. No warning light was illuminated. The contact had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic who inspected the vehicle but could not duplicate the failure. The mechanic believed that the failure was related to NHTSA campaign number: 05v270000 (electrical system) and referred the contact to the manufacturer for assistance. The contact notified the manufacturer of the failure and the recall but was informed that the VIN was not included in the recall and that the recall only included the diesel engine vehicles. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000. The VIN was not available.

4 Power Train problem of the 2015 Ford E-250

Failure Date: 07/03/2019

Have had 5 different occasions were car would jurk violently on take off . Each time the Ford dealer would just reset timing that would last 3mo than I have to take it back to dealer to have it fixed again have appt to go back to dealer for the 6th time in 2years . Never getting it fixed for good . . They told me Ford will not replace my transmission. All they can do it recalibrate it . . . I am now taking it back every 6mo to get fixed . Were it last for maybe 2 to 3 3mo. On take off it jurks so violent and stauls out . I have all papers work for every time I've had to take it in becouse of the violent take off . Dealer told me the Ford focus was defective when made n should have never been sold . Im afraid to drive it any more . It happened on city streets n any time I have to take off so that is all the time. . . Please help.

This is the third time this vehicle has been in for transmission work. Now the dealer will only cover a third of the cost. The dealer repaired the transmission under warranty, now they are saying because we didn't have to pay for it, the warranty is up. Yet their web-site states 3 years after replacement. We are not paying the bill.

The contact owns a 2012 Ford E-250. While driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle independently downshifted into first gear and the wheels seized. When the contact slowed down the vehicle, the failure subsided. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. 8 Power Train problem of the 2006 Ford E-250

Failure Date: 08/18/2011

I own I Ford freestyle, I am currently replacing the throttle body for the second time. It took a mechanic much trial and error to find the problem, which cost me a great deal of money. The car started acting the same way yesterday! this has been the 2nd time in less than a year! I wish I could give this car back to Ford! if there is anything. . . Any kind of recourse please give me information. Thank you. . . .
