Tl-the contact owns a 2003 Ford E-350. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph pulling a 24 " footer auto trailer, attempted to reduce speed, the brake pedal traveled all the way down to the floor. The contact used the trailer brakes to stop the vehicle. No warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was driven to a destination. The contact mention that the vehicle was repaired under a recall for the brakes in 2004. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for a diagnosis. The vehicle was taken to an unknown independent mechanic, that determined that the air booster needed replacement, also the master cylinder and pressure pump. The brakes are still soft and the pedal still traveled almost all the way to the floor. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 173,000. Bp.
