The contact was driving a 2016 motiv electric school bus (Ford E-450 chassis). While driving, the vehicle would not slow down when the brake pedal was depressed. The contact attempted to apply the emergency brake, but it did not work. The contact attempted to stop the vehicle by sideswiping a brick wall, but the vehicle bounced back into the street. The contact was finally able to stop the vehicle by running it into a fence off a dirt road. The contact sustained injuries that flared up two weeks later and were still causing him issues.
