general problems of the 2007 Ford Edge - part 2

Took car in to check brakes 10/29/13 tech says he could not find a problem. Drove 45 miles back home and no brakes. Drove back ery slowly tyhe same day. Tech says "OH you need a new master cylinder and booster". Costs $873. On July 3rd the brakes failied again. Almost ran into a house with no brakes. Had the car twowed. They seem to cannot find a problem car has been with auto nation Ford union city, GA 3 days now with no end in site. Was told by the service advisor that there was a recall on the master cylinders. I could not find anything. He also told ne that a recall may have been active when I paid for the repair at the same dealership in October 2013.

On Saturday August 17,2013 I was getting my basketball team supplies from the back of my car, my daughter was helping me. I was not leaning extreamly close to the vehicle just standing normally and the exhaust pipe burned my leg. The burn is extreamly bad, shortly after my daughter went to grab the rest of the stuff from the back of my car and she burned her leg as well. Last month my friend was helping me remove groceries from the back of my car and she also got her leg burned on the exhaust pipe. My car was parked in my drive way for all three incidents. I am extreamly concerned for my children. I also will have an extreamly bad scar on my leg for ever due to the burn.

Driving at low speeds the vehicle will shift very hard, feels like someone rear ending me. The transmission feels like it has a hard time getting into gear. At high speeds the same thing happens but usually on hot days. The transmission finally gave out at 75000 due to the hard slamming and had to be rebuilt. I was leaving a driveway and was unable to accelerate, putting me at risk of being hit from behind. This could have been disastrous at high speeds. At 78000 miles I am still having the same problem, I turn the vehicle on the the transmission slams into r and then I cannot accelerate past 10 mph. I turn the vehicle off and restart it, and it seems like nothing every happened. This happens intermittently and the check engine lights come one only every once in a while while it is happening. Worried about me and my babies safety while driving.

Sunroof broke! won't close! $2500 repair! read up on it and a lot of people are having this problem!! it is a safety issue!!!!!! fire hazard!!!!!! -water damage -electrical damage -gas mileage -heating/cooling less effective recall needed!!!!!!!!!!!.

First occurrence. Turned vehicle on, shifted in drive to leave parking lot. Did not shift correctly, and felt as if it was in neutral. Turned vehicle off, and back on. It shifted fine. Took vehicle back to dealership, as we had only owned it s month and bought in April 2012. They could not find anything wrong. Over time, this has happened 10-15 more times. The computer also seems to be affected by this as well. Today 7/26/2013, I turned on the vehicle, left it start up, began to go into drive, it stalled, and a powertrain light came on. Mileage computer dash disappeared. I turned the car off. Turned it back on. When I tried to shift it, transmission was very violent. Sat in the parking lot for twenty minutes. Turned the car back on, let it run for 2minutes, put it in drive, and it was completely fine. When I drive up hill, it seems to be using a lot more power than necessary, and my rpms go all the way up to 5-6k. Looking for a shop to have the car looked at, or at the dealership.

Tire thread wore on inner wall and caused tire to blow.

Since January 2010 transmission slip only happens periodically about 8 to 10 times a year . . Since 11/2012 trembling/shudder to the engine when vehicle accelerates between 45-50mph (torque converter) or replace transmission recommended by service center on 10/16/2013. On 1/31/2013 recall service completed on my vehicle malfunction indicator lamp (mil) on with diagnostic trouble codes powertrain control module (pcm) with 1 or more damaged coil(s) on plugs.

2007 Edge that was purchased 6 months ago from galpin Ford, no matter if they are repaired, parts were replaced or not, the problems are on-going, the front passenger seat broke,the rollers on the windows are malfunctioning, the front brakes went out and I was unable to stop at a 4 way stop, the brakes had corroded, the brakes were replaced, the rotors were checked as well, the back tail lights will fill up with water once the car is washed or if it rains, those back lights were replaced,the same problems 4 times already, the inseam from the moon roof collapsed while I was driving on the freeway one day it was replaced, now it has some holes coming in the material, if you should look up at it in the sun, the screws on the floor in the back seat area are a safety hazards, the most dangerous is the gear shift pins will lock and it will not allow the gears shifts pins are not releasing properly this is most definitely a malfunction; okay, this is the most frightening to me as well as the brakes, you cannot judge when this is going to occur it will happen at a moments notice, sometimes everyday, sometimes once per day, sometime it will not occur and other times, you are ducking a dodging other cars and hoping and praying that they don't hit you, this is a crime, my life is endangered and I don't know what to do, I have called one of Fords representatives she actually works for Ford and refused to meet with to go over my concerns in reference to my car and she did not give me the time of day, they really could care less, they would much rather I disappear from the face of this earth. She has been maliciously negligent this is wrong.
