1 Brake Whistling Noise problem

Whistling noise when brake pedal depressed and sometimes brake pedal is hard to depress making stops seem likely unstoppable also rear brakes make terrible noise when backing pads and rotors are okay.

2 Brake Whistling Noise problem

Failure Date: 10/29/2012

The contact owns a 2008 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving 2 mph, she applied the brakes and the brake pedal abnormally traveled to the floor board without warning. In addition, the contact heard a whistling noise as the failure occurred. The contact shifted into park and was able to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic who determined that the vehicle would need a new power booster for the brakes. The manufacturer was notified and a complaint was filed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 52,000.
