Vehicle has major abs problems witch also affects the traction control. Vehicle randomly does not respond to braking at various speeds. Ford needs to stand behind their product and fix this problem before someone gets hurt as a result. I bought this SUV for my wife and kids it only has 100k. It shouldn't be having these issues.
While in motion all the warning lights turned on and a warning beep would go off. It did this for 2 days, took it to get checked they told me a needed a new battery. Bough the battery and I still had same issue. Now the car won't start and the Ford retailer wants $125 just to diagnose the car.
takata recall I am very disappointed and unsafe with my Ford Edge , for the last few weeks it has been shutting off when the car comes to a stop or in idle. There is no codes or any warning signs that comes up . The car just losses power and shits off on its own. I am tired of fixing and spending money behind my Ford Edge I know it has nothing to do with the engine because it was recently replaced last year July under warranty also I replaced all tensions and the water pump also spark plugs . I took it to my main mechanic and he could not figure out what's the problem he told me to go to Ford and I went to Ford and they took 2 days to tell me they don't know what's the problem . Today I was on my way home on the highway I come to slow down getting off on my exit and the car just shuts off and the steering wheel gets tight and I can't move or turn it . There was cars next to me and behind me and in front I could of got hurt or put others in danger . This is not safe for Ford to have vechiles out on the road like this with not source of how to fix it or any warning light.
The traction control an abs light comes on for no reason an will not go off an have been told this has been happing with these cars.
