Takata recall I first received a letter of recall via a letter from Ford motor company in July 2016. Recall notice 16s26 / NHTSA recall 16v-384 stating the problem with the front airbag, and that Ford will send a letter when parts are available to fix the problem. The next communication I had from Ford was a letter in June 2018 stating that parts should become available in the second or third quarter of 2018. As of today, October 26, 2018, there is still no remedy offered for the airbag problem. I believe ample time has passed for Ford to get the parts and replace the defective airbags. I spoke to american Ford of old bridge NJ both through their chat room who told me they would get back to me, which they did not, and I also left a written massage to their service department, again no call back. I waited a few days and called their service department. Two days later a representative did call me back. I explained my concern and told her of the letters from Ford saying the parts would be available in the third quarter of 2018; as it is now the fourth quarter, she explained that they must wait for the parts to arrive and that I would be notified when they are available. She had no idea when this may happen. What's my recourse???.

After leaving my car for a day at the dealer I was informed they do not have the parts yet.
