The contact owns a 2013 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while reversing, the rearview camera displayed a distorted image. The contact stated that the rearview camera had previously been replaced in 2020 under warranty. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN and referred her to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The contact was advised to file a complaint with the NHTSA hotline. The contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 20v575000 (visibility); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 135,000.
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Edge. After the vehicle was refueled, the contact discovered that fuel was leaking without warning. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel filler pipe needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. In addition, when the vehicle was shut off, the instrument panel remained illuminated and caused the battery to become inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on two separate occasions where it was diagnosed that the door ajar switch needed to be cleaned and replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact also mentioned that the heating system failed to operate without warning. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the heating system needed to be reprogrammed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 29,338.
