The contact owns a 2015 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving at an unknown rate of speed, the brake pedal depressed to the floorboard but the vehicle did not reduce in speed; therefore, she was forced to apply her emergency brake to stop the vehicle. The contact was uncertain if any warning lights appeared on the instrument panel. Due to the failure, his daughter had the vehicle towed to veterans Ford(7201 w linebaugh Ave, tampa, FL 33625) where they replaced her master brake cylinder as well as her brake line. The contact then received a recall notice for NHTSA campaign number: 20v469000(service brakes, service brakes, hydraulic) however the parts for the repair were unavailable. Later on, the contact's daughter experienced the failure for a second time and again had the vehicle towed back to the same dealer where they linked her failure to the recall; however, the parts still remained unavailable. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was given a case number. The vehicle had yet to be repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer.
