Failure Date: 09/10/2020

While driving 9/10/2020 on local street approx 35mph brake pedal went to floor, needed to pump brakes to slow down. Replaced brake line at mr. Tire. This was left rear brake line that ruptured. Vehicle was at Ford dealer for brake check 8/6/2020 and passed inspection. On 12/8/2019 same thing happened to left front brake. Ford issued a recall today on front brake line. I called and was told I should receive recall letter in a few weeks for front brake line. I feel uncomfortable driving a car with defective brakes. No resolution as of today. Called Ford dealer & hotline and was told to wait for letter before taking action.

6 Brake Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings problem

Failure Date: 08/10/2020

Ford recall #20s42 - Ford issued this recall 8/10/2020 regarding a brake line(?) issue, over 8 months ago. In checking to have correction made I discovered that they do not have a remedy yet. If this is truly a safety issue regarding braking, should't Ford be pressured to determine a remedy? my vehicle is now 6 years old with 80,000 miles on it. I am concerned. If this is not a serious issue, then please reassure me that it really doesn't need a correction, and that we are not driving a mobile time bomb. Thank you, george palmer.

8 Brake Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings problem

Failure Date: 02/15/2019

The front brakes are extremely touchy, periodically when coming to a stop. When you just immediately touch the brakes it low-speed the car comes to a jerking stop. I read online there is a recall due to some improper software being installed during the timeframe my car was manufactured. I would think this could absolutely contribute to the problem. Ever since I purchased a vehicle I've complained to the dealer and they told me there's no problem. I am a professional driver, I drive for work I've driven over 2,000,000 miles in my life and I know what I'm having brake issues. I went to the dealer about the online notification and they told me the only recall is for brake hoses and they have nothing for anti-lock software issues. Could somebody please clear this up for me as I can't even use this vehicle to teach my daughters how to drive because the brakes are so unpredictably touchy. Meeting sometimes they're fine and other times they are not, usually when you least expect it. Thank you.
