The contact owns a 2016 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving 45 mph, the vehicle began to shake and the transfer case was damaged internally. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer but, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was towed to the independent mechanic who informed the contact that the transmission bolt mounts were fractured. The manufacturer was contacted and referred him to NHTSA for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 98,000.
