Driving the vehicle down a residential street. Applied the brakes, pedal went to the floor. Car rolled to a stop with limited braking. Placed into park and had passenger pump brakes. Front passenger side brake hose adjacent to the caliper had ruptured. Saw online that this is a common problem with 1st generation Ford Escapes. Could have been serious in heavy traffic!.
