Tl- the contact owns a 2002 Ford Escape. The contact stated that the vehicle ignited while parked in her driveway. The fire department was called and they found the master brake cylinder and the cruise control cables were melted. A fire department report was filed. The vehicle was totaled and still in the driveway. The dealer missoula Ford 3943 brooks st, missoula, mt 59804 and the manufacturer were contacted but had not called back. The contact stated that she never received a recall notice, even though there are two recalls NHTSA notice number: 12v-005000 (service brakes, hydraulic) and 12v-353000 (engine and engine cooling, vehicle speed control).
