1 Brake Fluid Leak problem

Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Ford Escape. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 mph the brake pedal extended to the floor when attempting to stop. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the rear passenger side shock tower housing had broken and punctured through the subframe. During the failure the brake line and rear brake light wire was severed causing brake fluid to leak and the rear brake light to malfunction. The cause of the failure was not determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 140,000. Jft.

2 Brake Fluid Leak problem

Failure Date: 05/16/2013

The front brake line on the passenger side blew out leaking brake fluid, was pulled in to garage. Now today 6/17/2013 the drivers side brake line blew out losing brakes completely, both times very dangerous.
