general problems of the 2007 Ford Escape

When accelerating on the vehicle it would run fine till about a couple minutes driving then it would jerk and the rpm gauge would go to 0 and then back up the the right rpm.

Loss of major engine power and loss of acceleration when pushing the gas pedal to the floor. Has no acceleration power anymore like it did a year ago to now. Replace all spark plugs and ignition coils with now new acceleration power at all.

I was driving on a mountain highway just south of granby colorado when engine lights came on and engine stopped. I was able to pull over. Tried to restart engine to no avail. Then steam started coming out from under the hood. When I opened the hood, there were yellow spots all over and the coolant container had started to melt and deform from the heat. He said he had never seen an engine get so hot before and no warning. My son has a mechanic friend who called someone at Ford and was told they were aware that the Ford Escape had an issue with overheating just as my vehicle did with no warning while in mountain driving. After the event, my son called the Ford dealer where we bought the car and they told him they weren't aware of any problems. We had to sell the car for junk. They have let several innocent people die while they are pocketing millions of dollars. Every time I have contacted the dealership or gone to them in person they try to raise prices on simplistic parts that you can buy cheaper online or at walmart. They charge fees for every single thing; even if your fully covered with insurance it still is not much of a difference. They have hidden importing parts from third world countries and it is about time that they are exposed for all their misconduct; as I do not find it in any way for anyone nor a company to let innocent people be murdered. It is a felony under the law of the united states of America. The court cases date back decades, if their workers could not fix the "issues" years ago and they even had issues the last year with several teenagers going to their prom that resulted in death as well then I would state beyond a reasonable doubt Ford company should go out of business and make sure they pay every penny back to all the victims including myself and others that purchased their toy cars.

After only 2 months of purchase o/d light went on and transmission shot!!! absolutely heart wrenching as I have no way to work now. . .

Gas pedal sticks in near and below freezing weather.

Fluid leaking on drive under engine. Turns out to be replaced t cooler per tsb09-09-04. Barely made it under 36,000 mile warrenty.
