Other times my car has had a hesitation while I am driving. I push the accelerator and it shutters . It has been an issue since I bought it like that. Tl the contact owns a 2012 Ford Escape. The contact was not the first owner of the vehicle and was unaware that there was an internal fault with the throttle body. The wrench icon, check engine, and oil pressure warning indicators kept randomly illuminating. Courtesy Ford (6393 us-98 w, hattiesburg, ms 39402, (601) 264-5555) was aware that the manufacturer issued an unknown recall campaign to address the failure; however, there was no remedy for special coverage campaign number: 13n03 (throttle body extended coverage). The dealer stated that the vehicle was excluded because the mileage exceeded 8,000. The dealer diagnosed that the air flow sensor needed to be replaced. The part was replaced and the dealer stated that the throttle body was cleaned; however, both repairs failed to provide a remedy. The dealer and manufacturer expected the contact to replace the throttle body. The vehicle continued to lose speed and the contact was concerned that it could stall. The vehicle was not repaired and was unable to be driven. The manufacturer was contacted and provided no assistance. The failure mileage was not available.
This is an ongoing issue while driving the engine suddenly reduces speed causing the car to stall! at any given time, the car stalls in the middle of the road or highway and while holding up traffic, I turn the ignition switch and the car resumes. This is a safety issue and must be recalled and repaired immediately!.

While driving my vehicle on the highway suddenly the vehicle slowed down to a stop and stalled, I was in the right lane of the highway because I was about to exit, I looked at the dashboard and the rpm was at 0 and the battery light and the oil light was illuminated. However the car had no power I somehow was able to accelerate the car to the hood of the road. At that time I turned the key and removed it from the ignition waited a few minutes and started the vehicle. And the engine started and I pulled back on to the highway to continue my trip. I have taken my vehicle to a Ford service center and they are trying to duplicate the issue in order to service the vehicle for repair. I also have a case number assigned to me by the Ford customer service that was to be referenced when I was informed by the customer service representative to take the car into a Ford service center to be looked at.
From a stopped position then excelling or while driving on highway without any warning my car will stall. And wrench will appear.
So far. . 3 times now, I have been driving and my car has strongly surged forward and stalled! I was almost hit today while trying to put my car in neutral to re-start my car. Once the car was re-started it continued to surge forward quite violently. This is an epic safety hazard and needs to be resolved/addressed ASAP!!!.
I got this vehicle from a Ford dealership almost 2 years ago and have been complaining since about stalling/stuttering when accelerating from park or when stopped at a light. I can't get it to duplicate the problem for the technicians, but I just found out about the electronic throttle body problem (13n03). I contacted Ford corporate about it and they made a case with the local dealership for me and said they must work with corporate to help me. Local dealership service manager basically told me there's nothing they can do if it can't be replicated. I have contacted another dealership, and I'm back at square 1.
At approximately 5:30 am while making a right hand turn up an incline the vehicle stalled - the oil and battery lights came on - I put it in park and turned the ignition off and then back on and restarted - I later took it to the dealership - they said they contacted the Ford technical hotline and are awaiting a response - this is the 3rd stalling incident the second at the same location and the 1st after they replaced the throttle body - the vehicle has around 11,000 miles.
Within the last week, I have experienced repeated incidents of stalling when in traffic and trying to accelerate from a stop. There were no warning signs prior to the initial failure or prior to subsequent failures. I am afraid that if this continues it could end up in a wreck with someone getting injured.
As per my vehicle report fromo the dealership: concern : tech notes clutch slave cylinder is leaking. Cause: verify concern, find that vehicle has clutch fluid leaking from inside bell housing area. Correction: remove trans & inspect, find that slave cyl is seeping fluid. Install new slave cyl & adapter. Assemble vehicle, no leaks found inside bell housing, but clutch live from master cyl to slave cyl will not seal properly. Install line, bleed system & retest, all pass. 52-3: manual transmission slave cylinder- hydraulic clutch - replace.
On the first occasion, I was pulling away from a stop sign and into traffic. My truck stalled in the middle of the intersection. I managed to shut it off, restarted and it was fi. E. I called the dealer ship and they told me a bug probably got in my air filter. About 3 weeks later it happened in the middle of the highway in traffic doing 75. I almost got smashed in the rearend. Managed to restart. Took it to the dealer ship and they said there was nothing wrong. I picked it up and drove it home, almost cause a 4 car pileup on the interstate. My guardian angel is worn out! finally got a code to pop up and the dealership told me it was the throttle body. No recall on this part even tho it seems to be a major issue.
While driving down the road at approx. 35-40 mph, my Ford Escape just stalled. No warning lights were on prior to or after the incident. I coasted to a safe place with my hazard lights on, put it in park, and it started up on the first try. It has not happened again (it has been 6 days). The Ford dealership could not find anything wrong and has installed a recorder to see if it happens again within the next 2 wks. This was a very scary occurrence and I am nervous with my children in the car. Something like this, could have a very serious catastrophic outcome.
After coming to a stop at a stop sign the vehicle stalled - the battery light came on - I put it in park turned the ignition off and then back on and restarted - I drove it to the dealership - they said they could not verify the concern - this is the second incident.
As we were driving the car stalled and stopped working. This has now happened 4 times. We have also had the throttle surge. I have taken the vehicle to Ford only to be told they cannot duplicate the problem therefore they cannot fix it.
At approximately 5:30 am - (about 1 mile into the drive) - while making a right hand turn up a hill the vehicle stalled - the oil light came on - I turned the ignition off and back on and restarted and drove back home - I then had the vehicle towed to the dealership - after running test and driving it they found no problems.
