The instrument panel on my vehicle, where the speed and fuel level and other important informational messages and displays are, have lines spreading horizonatally blocking information and the lighting is completely dimmed. The panel where the backup camera displays has the same lines running horizontally and dimmed . It is unsafe for me to drive my vehicle if I don't know the speed and other important information displayed. I called Ford company and was told that this particular VIN did not have a recall therefore it is my responsibility.
The accessories screen that the camera uses works intermittently. When not working the backup warning signal also does not work causing a safety issue of backing into someone or something.
The shifter bushing recall is not showing for my vehicle, but has the same issue as the recall. Thevehicle is saying that it's not in park but it is, the shifter will not operate, and all gears are showing in reverse. I was driving and was going to stop and go in reverse when the shifter was stuck.
Driving down the highway my tires slipped and tried to kick on traction control but instead disabled my driving until I was able to get over and stop. Turn the car off for a couple seconds then restarted it back on. Did that 3 time in my way into work. I didn't know it was the traction control until I googled what happened and lot of responses said the traction control gets faulty. So now every time I drive I have to go into the settings and turn off my traction control or it continues to happen. Luckily nobody was behind me.
On the date of 04/07/21 I was driving on my way to work, had pulled out of dunkin donuts and went up a small hill to a stop sign I had the ac on, and my window rolled down as I just left a fast food restaurant and as I get to the top of the small hill, my ac turns off and my car displays a message saying transmission not in park and it completely shuts off, I put the car in park and tried restarting it and nothing I had dash lights everything but didn't start. This is the second time this has happened in a 2 week period, the first time it shut off and displayed a starting system fail message took it to dealer and cannot figure out the problem. Could this be related to a recall!.
I went to start my vehicle and the digital screen on the dash does not work. This is the screen with the digital speedometer, odometer, miles driven and many other digital readouts connected to a “cluster” of wiring within the dash. This is a problem that could not be prevented by me, and is the fault of a faulty manufacturing piece. There is a blank space in the dash where the readouts were. This piece is definitely a safety hazard and should be replaced by Ford. Local dealer told me it was out of warranty therefore my responsibility.
Backup camera blanks out and goes upside down below is the approximate start date, still doing it. Only reporting due the current recall that doesn't go back to 2015 models.

While driving down hill the vehicle was revving up to almost 5rpms while breaking. . . Was not shifting into lower gear. . Pulled in to get gas. . Went to back up with reverse. . Then shifted gear into drive . . And the vehicle was still in reverse. . . Pushed the shifter to park and then back into driver and car was still driving in reserve. . . Pushed back into park . . . Switched seats with my husband . . . He got into driver seat and the shifter was stuck in park. . But was not registering on dash board. . According to the dashboard it was in reverse . . . Husband reversed the car into a parking spot . . He kept trying to pull the shifter to go into drive. . . But it was locked on park. . . So he manually went in to shift the gears and was able to move the shifter manually . . . But it still was not recognizing it on the dashboard. . . There was no warning sign . . . No alerts on the dash. . . . While husband was trying to get the shifter to register on dash. . . All lights on dash started flickering. . . So then we thought it was referring to the battery. . . Because soon after there was no powered at all to the vehicle. . . But the vehicle was still moving in reverse. . We put e brake on called a friend and had him jump us . . Did absolutely nothing . . . So now car is stranded in a parking lot until tomorrow. . . All this going on with an infant and 5 year old . . In freezing cold weather. . . Something needs to be done with these Ford Escapes before someone gets killed! for the amount of complaints I am seeing on this feature with the 2015. . You would think something would be done. . . This is dangerous and. Absolutely uncalled for. . . Get these damn cars off the market!.
I left the car on since my daughter and husband were in the car. When I came back out from the store, I tried to put the car in drive but it would not let me. So I tried to turn off the car but it will still stayed on. After about 1 hr the car started to turn off slowly. It is completely off now but wont turn back on. Luckily we were in a parking lot of a dollar tree.

The gear was shifted into neutral to allow the transmission to stop rotating then the ignition was placed in the off position. The shifter of my 2015 Ford Escape was stuck in 's' position two days ago when I just started my car. The shifter handle was actually in p position. I had to call towing company and the dealer told me it is my shifter cable bushing deteriorated and unable to allow shift cable to come loose to change shift. Ford previously had a recall for 2013-2014 Escape model for the same bushing problems not including 2015 models. But a lot people posted threads online saying their 2015 model also have that problems. Some customer got it fixed free of charge and most customers did not. I contacted with Ford customer service and they told me it is up to the dealer whether to allow reimbursement but this should be definitely be recalled because this can be a big safety concern.
The back-up camera in my vehicle will operate for a few moments - if the weather is below 50 degrees or if you are parked in a shady area - but it will just cut-off. The system is working and all the fuses are good but the back-up camera only works intermitted. I am reporting this as an issue on the 2015 Ford Escape since I found there is an active recall for the same problem on new models. This needs to be addressed- when backing-if you use the reverse camera and it goes out in the middle of the back-up it can be dangerous.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while driving at 20 mph the radio and back-up camera screen and instrument cluster flickered and became inoperable. The manufacturer was contacted however, no further assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 98,000.
When I garage the vehicle after driving around 50 miles that day. The next day it will not start. The next day it will start. This has happened twice.
Ford has already recalled a large amount of vehicles due to rear view camera electrical issues. My camera has always worked very intermittently often turning to a blue screen when in reverse. After a few year this stopped working all together. When taking to Ford dealership and my local mechanic I was informed it is due to the poor/ lack of sealant placed around the camera when manufactured causing the inside to corrode whenever exposed to water/snow. I was quoted over $500 to get the camera and harnessing replaced. This is a safety issue and excessive cost to repair when this is a known defective issue and already recalled on many other years and models.
Rack and pinion went out at 66,000 miles. I have send reviews on this make and model that this is a problem. I have talked to multiple mechanics who have adv this is an electric problem in these cars and with different years.

Engine shut off while driving. Car also has been having a starting issue. The instrument cluster would come on, fuel pump would prime, go to start and nothing. If the battery was unplugged for 5 minutes it was more likely to start. Thankfully it happen on a city street and not the highway that I was going to be getting on.
Warning light comes on. Transmission hit ok goes off. Messaglight goes on to shut car off I do that an message doesn't come back on. At one time my car even slowed downs to 40 and another warning light came on shut car off restarted an ran ok. That warning light stayed on until taken to Ford garage in gibson city. They couldn't find anything wrong so reset. These all began a month ago.
Instrument panel turned white and stopped working. . . . . Thought it was on recall . . . . But Ford told me no. . . . We have had it fixed . . . .
I was driving my 2015 Ford Escape going about 50mph when my steering wheel just froze. It took all of my strength to try to turn the wheel so I could get myself off the main road and out of everyone's way. I got myself to the side and couldn't turn the wheel at all. Luckily my family wasn't too far so my dad was gonna help me get my car home but he couldn't even turn the wheel. We had to call for a tow truck. Also my 2015 Ford Escape would stall after pumping gas, taking several attempts to start my car and at times not starting at all after filling my tank. It has stalled on me serversl times while driving on the main road leaving me stranded and holding up traffic on busy roads. Low tire pressure/ tire pressure sensor fault warning light appears often even though all tires are at correct pressures abs and traction control appears noisy cabin makes buzzing noises behind stereo even when car is off stereo malfunctions happen often where cds get stuck and stereo says no cd while trying to eject it.

About 6 months ago, the radio and it's computer system stopped working. While the display works, the system responsible for laying sound no longer works, and the touch screen is rarely responsive.
After auto parked overnight on 04/26/2019, in heated garage, no power to start engine, nor operate lights, radio, etc. In the next morning. No battery to power any equipment. Aaa service attendant jump started auto. Battery tested 100% power after several minutes of run time on engine. 2nd occurrence in 12 months. I was told this is called a "brain freeze" and is not uncommon for Ford product. Original battery in vehicle replaced 04/27/2019.
Whenever driving my car, it noticably takes longer than it should to shift causing my rpms to run higher than expected. For instance doing 35 I might be running at 2500-3000 rpms for about 15 to 20 seconds before shifting and causing my rpms to go down to around 1500.
Car totally shut down in traffic at a stop in rush hour traffic. No electric functions. Could not put on hazards, ,could not roll down windows. Car had to be towed.
