Ford 2. 0l ecoboost - coolant in cylinders, white exhaust smoke and illuminated mil. Purchased 2018 2. 0 titanium Feb 2018. March 2019, at 29,000 miles the engine failed , coolant in cylinders. Warranty work was performed under TSB 19-2208 by Ford dealership. Greenway Ford orlando. June 2020 ,at 62,000 miles the same repaired engine failed, coolant in cylinders. Engine to be repaired under TSB 19-2346 at the owner's expense of $8388 at the same Ford dealership Ford knows there are design defects in this 2. 0 ecoboost engine. Proof of that is the superseded TSB from just changing the cylinder head ( tsb19-2208) to changing the long block ( TSB 19-2346) . Ford declined twice to warranty the second repair as the vehicle was 2500 miles over the new car warranty. Zero support. Ford would not even warranty the first repair work after failing 14 months later.
Engine failure due to coolant intrusion into the no. 2 cylinder resulted in a complete engine replacement. After taking 5 weeks to repair I picked up the vehicle only to have the transmission fail after driving a couple of hundred miles.
