1 Noises During Shifting problem

Failure Date: 08/13/2008

2007 Ford Expedition mileage ~34,000 I have taken my 2007 Ford Expedition into the shop now on 3 separate occasions for the same issue. The first and second time the problem was listed at un-found, and the 3rd time it was in the show they stated that they were aware of an issue but there is currently no fire available. The issue: *when slowing down to a stop, the vehicle seems to stay in a higher gear and then downshifts hard, and comes to a stop. *while accelerating from a stop the vehicle seems to hesitate very badly, then take off. This has been particularly scary when pulling out into traffic because you never know when its going to "catch" and take off. I have basically started to leave myself 10x the room needed to pull out to avoid an injury. 35 miles per hour, when the accelerator is depressed to speed up a clunking noise is heard, and the vehicle hesitates then decides to move. It is almost as if the accelerator is not telling the truck to go! *this vehicle has been a very good vehicle, but Ford has been covering this issue up for many months now! this is going to end up killing someone one day if it is not fixed! written by a corporate safety specialist.
