Tire Bulge problems of the 1996 Ford Explorer

Two problems related to tire bulge have been reported for the 1996 Ford Explorer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Tire Bulge problem

The firestone wilderness tires had big bulges in them which caused the vehicle to shake badly while driving, consumer believes this defect is what caused the wheel bearings to fail. Nlm.

2 Tire Bulge problem

Prior to recall the consumer found a bulge on the back left tire and replaced with michelins, consumer requested reimburdsement for the replacement tires but was denied because the tires were replaced prior to Aug 9, 2000(firestone wildrness at tire p235/75r15 ).
