The contact stated that the victim's vehicle was found three hours after the crash and the vehicle had flipped upside down. The victim was found, wearing the seatbelt. A police report was filed (case number: 19-11405) the contact stated that the city observed a curfew whereby the coroner's report stated that �death was caused by multiple blunt force injury to head". The street lights were turned off from 12 midnight to 5 am. The contact stated that the crash might have occurred at about 3am. On January 21, 2019 I was hit head-on by a driver who fell asleep at the wheel. Totalled my 2002 Ford Explorer! my airbags did not deploy during the accident! I was going approximately 35 mph and the other driver was driving approximately 40 mph on a city street.

On may 31st 2016,I was involve in an automobile accident and at which time my airbag did not deploy. . After further evaluation it was determine that my clock spring was bad. . Then I was told to contact the NHTSA to see if my vehicle was under a recall for this incident . . . . My vehicle was in motion on a highway.

Both side air bags deployed driving on interstate at 55 mph with no apparent cause. The car was not involved in an accident and there was no other damage to the vehicle. The front air bags did not deploy. I was able to get to the shoulder of the freeway and called roadside assistance to have the care towed. The explosion was quite traumatic and it took me several seconds to realize just what had happened.

The contact stated that while traveling less than 5 mph, the vehicles throttle became stuck with no warning which caused the vehicle to accelerate to a speed above 40 mph. I am so disgusted after reading all the same problems with the 2002 Ford Explorer. I too have the airbag problem, they told me it was the airbag pretentioner and it is $650. 00, now my air bag will not deploy if I get into an accident. I have the extended deluxe warranty that wont cover it. I also have a problem with the rear temp and mode actuators that failed and binding again not covered under warranty that is $510. 00 to repair. I truly think Ford should recall these same problems.

We got in to a head on collision and the airbag did not deploy and we hit at about 45 m. P. H. On impact and nothing deploy soon after the crash the airbag light flashed for several days till we got the repair and they just reset the computer in the truck and now the airbag light is flashing only a week after they reset it and the Ford company here has no reasoning or answer to why this happened and they refuse to help us on this situation so we have to turn to you and get this problem resolved quickly before someone gets seriously injured or killed.

On 12/23/07 my in-laws were involved in a rollover crash of a 2002 Ford Explorer. My wife and I witnessed the entire accident as we were following my in-laws home from church. A cardboard box was in the roadway, and my mother-in-law took action to miss the box. She steered around the box, but when she tried to correct the vehicle it got sideways and the front driver's side tire assembly broke away and the vehicle began to flip. The roof crushed about 15 inches, the airbags did not deploy and of course the front wheel had broken away. My father-in-law escaped with a few broken ribs, but my mother-in-law is in intensive care with several injuries. I know you have had several complaints about Ford Explorers, but isn't it time to do something about it before someone else gets seriously injured or even killed?.

There was an accident. Hit another car at about 40 miles an hour and the front drivers and passenger airbags did not deploy. There were two injured. The frame wasn't bent and the engine was okay. What saved the passengers was an add-on bumper guard I had on the front. Truck was towed to a Ford dealership and the service manger said the same thing about the bumper guard.
