Steering Column problems of the 2014 Ford Explorer

The vehicle was towed to the dealer and diagnosed as having a fractured steering column rack that needed to be replaced; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 118,000.
