Air Bag Not Deploy problems of the 2015 Ford Explorer

The air bag light came on. After doing extensive research I see that this is a common issue because of the wiring and faulty connectors. After wiggling wires the light goes off. It eventually comes back on, then repeat the process. . This is a safety issue because the airbags will not deploy with the light on.

Airbag warning light turned in and will not turn off. Took the vehicle to the dealer who stated the issue is a shorted connector for the rear and that the airbags would fail to deploy. The light turns on as soon as the vehicle is started and never turns off. The light has been on for about three months but no technicians have been available to find the cause.

Slowly pulling out of narrow parking lot exit lane, through opened gate. Rapid unexplained acceleration, seemed to launch car across one way city street into restaurant building. Passenger seat belt (fastened, left bruises) released upon impact; passenger dash board airbag did not deploy; drivers' airbag weak. Passenger hospitalized from lower airbag, broken leg, severe laceration.

My husband loss consciousness while driving due to unknown reasons (medical issue). He went off the highway at 65 mph and crashed into several trees. Despite extensive damage to the front end, resulting in a total loss, the airbags never deployed. My husband later experienced post-concussion symptoms as diagnosed by the hospital. Injuries may have been prevented had the airbags deployed.

They had seen this problem before. Service person indicated that air bags may not deploy if in an accident when airbag warning light is on. Due to the fundamental safety issue with a hardware flaw (not wear and tear), I believe there should be a recall due to the risk to public safety.

I own a 2015 Ford Explorer. While driving my airbag light is continuously on and from what I understand the airbags will not deploy. This causes me concern not only for my own safety but for my children's safety. My vehicle is currently with stivers Ford in waukee, IA, where it was diagnosed that the wiring harness for the second row driver side inflatable seat belt deployment control failed and needs to be replaced. I am replacing as I feel I need to for my families and I safety, but it is very expensive. It is not covered under warranty, but should be considered a recall because there is no wear and tear. There is faulty wiring. The approximate failure mileage of my car is 52,000.

Airbag light comes on & stays on from time to time, this has been happening on & off for about the last 10 months. Too my vehicle in for this issue to be checked a couple times but since the light went off tech was unable to diagnose problem. I am still in my extended warranty period 5yr/60,000 miles but apparently whatever repair my system needs to function properly is not covered even though the manual states that my vehicles safety belts & airbag system are covered for an extended safety restraint coverage period. This is a serious safety concern & from what I've researched this is a known issue by Ford. If I don't pay $800 my airbags will not deploy in the vent I had an accident.
