I've been dealing with exhaust fumes entering my vehicle upon a hard acceleration. I'v taken my 2015 Explorer to the dealership 5 times to get this correct, with no positive resolution. I'm also experiencing a knocking noise when making a hard left hand turn. I've brought to the dealership twice to fix it, with no resolution.

A week ago the vehicle showed 45 miles till empty. Backed out of the drive way to get gas and the car lost all power. Dash showed engine light and air bag. Filled up with gas and the lights went away. Today, going down the highway I lost all power. Talk about accident waiting to happen! luckily I was able to cruise to a exit and into a parking lot. Had to call Ford towing to come and get me. This is a 2016 Ford Explorer. Only 7000 miles. Brand new vehicle should not have this type of problem. Then the sensors around the car go off when there is nothing around. I know I am not the only person with this lost of power issue. I believe that the only way to actually get some assistance with this problem is after someone gets hurt and sues Ford. Another problem is there is a knocking sound as soon as the car is turned on and driven. You feel and the steer wheel knock along with the sound.

After the vehicle was serviced, while driving 45 mph, the contact heard a knocking noise under the hood of the vehicle and the engine stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the evap purge valve needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. 2002 Ford Explorer 74,000 miles. Heard a banging noise coming form motor. Took to repair shop - stated to me that this is a timing chain
issue. Timing chain needs to be replaced and will cost $1500. 00 - $2000. 00. Dealer said that Ford is aware of this issue and has had several complaints. (see car complaints. Com). They said to call Ford and see if they will rectify. To no avail Ford said no. The dealer stated that Ford used cheap parts for the timing chain and will not back up their work. What a crock. Please investigate this issue as it should be considered a recall.

Engines making knocking noise(lifters) has had two engines replaced since we have owned this vehicle-not including the original engine that was junk, too.
Vehicle developed engine knocking noise which results from poor performance.
Original engin replaced @10,000 mi. New engine making same knocking noise @ 3000 mi. Dealer says this is normal. I don't think so. Nola.
There is a knock in the engine upon accelerating. The car has been to plantation Ford twice and each time I am told that this knocking noise is a "characteristic of the engine". Per Ford engineers this engine is no longer used in current production therefore, they can compare my engine to another engine with low mileage. The mechanics at plantation Ford do agree there is a noise in the engine but no one seems to want to fix it. No I have not had any failures or accidents yet. However, common sense tells one that a knock in an engine is not good. Please help me.
