65 problems related to brake electric antilock have been reported for the 1997 Ford F-150. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Driving vehicle about 40mph started to apply brakes, stopped & the abs locked up. Took to dealer 3 different times & each time was informed nothing was wrong. Could not find any problem.
While driving vehicle an wet/slippery pavement abs brakes would get wet and lock up when brakes applied, happened only on wet pavement, not dry; vehicle at dealer's being repaired.

When braking vehicle will bounce. Dealer has attempted to fix defect 3 times by replacing drums/ rotors. But defect kept reoccurring. Dealer stated that it was common that rear drums gets hot and become out of round. Please provide further information.

The brakes lock up. After it has sat out in the rain,you have to push on the brake pedal a few times to stop them from locking up. This is not a uncommon problem. I have talked to other owners and they have the same problem.
