Three problems related to accelerator stuck have been reported for the 1998 Ford F-150. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While passing another vehicle the accelerator stuck causing sudden acceleration, consumer had to put vehicle into neutral and turn off the engine to reduce speed. Nlm.
Accelerator pedal sticks intermittently. Consumer has to kick pedal to get it to release. Not taken to dealer yet.
The accelerator pedal got stuck on theforward edge of the floor mat, causing the engine to stay at high rpm. Driver put car in neutral and pulled to the side of the road to avoid crash. The dealer has been notified.
