Clutch fan belt.

2 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem

Failure Date: 08/20/2010

Problem was instant while driving north on rt. 18. Ford f150 v8 started missing, smelling of gas, making loud noise which appeared to be every time the belt went around, unable to accelerate, had to keep one foot on gas and one foot on brake at red light. Problem was that the spark plug overheated and ejected. Safety issue with fuel vapors coming out of spark plug hole and could ignite from loose spark plug. Ford denies this is a problem and claim there has only been three reported cases when I had the dealer call them. After talking about it at work, I found another employee that had the same problem. So there are two cases right there that they didn't even know about. How many cases do they really know about or deny knowing about?.

3 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem

Failure Date: 10/10/2005

The consumer's vehicle was at a red light and heard a loud popping noise from the underneath the hood. Upon acceleration the vehicle began to shake. The consumer pulled over to inspect the vehicle and discovered a spark plug was lying on top of the engine. The consumer later drove the vehicle to a repair shop. The mechanic inspected the vehicle and consulted a Ford dealer. The mechanic used a heel coil to resolve the problem as suggested by the Ford dealer. The vehicle could not be completely repaired due to a lack of tools to set the timing chain on the vehicle. Ford did not have these special tools available to the public. No further repairs could be made by the mechanic at this time. (12/02/05).

4 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem

Failure Date: 04/08/2002

I have had nothing but problems with the fuel injection system. The deal did fix the first problem but ignored complaints that the problem was still not fixed. At 36000 miles the drive belt went out and still there was problems w/ injectors . Now dealers will not honor warranty becasue current mileage is 36900 even though they put the first 1,234 when the truck was bought new.
