1 Car Accelerates On Its Own problem

I was stopping and about to park into a parking stall. As I was applying my brake, the vehicle suddenly accelerated. It jumped a curb, crossed a landscape island, took down shrubs, then stopped on the other side. It happened few other times, but not to this extend. Other times I thought I may have accidentally pressed on the gas pedal, and did not pay too much attention. One other time it happened, it was raining when I thought perhaps it was the rain that caused it.

The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-150. The contact was shifting from park to reverse when the vehicle abnormally accelerated in reverse until heavy pressure was applied to the brake pedal. The vehicle was not taken to have the failure diagnosed. Approximately four days later, the failure recurred while decelerating from approximately 5 mph. The contact was unable to stop the unintended acceleration by applying the brakes and was involved in a crash. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer where they were unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was repaired for the body damages. The failure and current mileage was 55,000.

Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Ford F-150. The contact stated that when the brake was depressed, the engine rpms would increase abnormally, causing the vehicle to rapidly accelerate. The contact had to apply abrupt pressure to the brakes and shift into neutral in order to stop the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the technicians were unable to diagnose the failure. The failure mileage was 10,000 and the current mileage was 21,000. Kmj.

2/26/08 sudden acceleration at stop light - lurched forward almost hit vehicle turning left in front of me. Took to dealership. . . . Dealer could find nothing but replaced fuel throttle body. The next day, I picked up the vehicle, drove <30 miles and it happened again while at full stop - hit vehicle in front of me. . . 3 injuries. The occupants in the vehicle the consumer hit were injured. Updated 07/22/08 updated 03/08/10 the consumer no longers owns the vehicle. Updated 04/07/10. The cosumer received a denial letter from Ford, stating they would not provide any assitance. Updated 05/04/10.

5 Car Accelerates On Its Own problem

Failure Date: 07/13/2007

2007 Ford f150 - unwanted acceleration: we have had this vehicle for less than a month and have had three instances of unwanted acceleration. While backing out of the driveway and braking for entering the roadway, the vehicle suddenly started revving very high; to stop this we had to put the vehicle in park. All three times we've experienced this unwanted acceleration has been in different scenarios.
