The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, she became aware that the sub frame, underneath the vehicle, was cracked. The contact stated that the frame was loose and was visible by standing in front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who confirmed that the frame was cracked and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline to file a complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 190,000.
