The contact owns a 2008 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled and unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was restarted after several attempts. The contact believed the failure was due to roush transition to propane on the Ford F-150. The vehicle was not taken to a local dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware and offered no assistance. The contact referenced the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 08v523000 (engine and engine cooling) however VIN was not included. The failure mileage was 200,000.

2 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 07/27/2016

The contact owns a 2008 Ford F-150. While coming to a stop, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was able to restart. The failure recurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the camshaft phaser failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 128,000.

3 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 04/07/2015

The contact owns a 2008 Ford F-150. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost oil pressure and stalled. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and was able to restart and resume driving. The failure recurred each time the vehicle was driven. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the low oil pressure caused the engine to fail. The engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. 4 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 09/22/2014

Vehicle would stall at slow speed and severe rattling and loss of power to vehicle which could easily result in accident. Ford service indicated that it was cam phasing or otherwise known as intake camshaft position timing over retarded problem. Very dangerous condition which should be addressed via recall.
