The contact owns a 2008 Ford F-150. While driving 50 mph, the engine failed and the check engine indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer (auto nation of panama city, 1730 w 15th st, panama city, FL 32401) and was informed that the timing chain needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and did not assist. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 180,000.

3 Engine Failure problem

Failure Date: 08/17/2011

At idle the engine knocks loudly vehicle stalls engine fails. Not able to drive. I have been told by Ford techs and dealership to replace engine.
