The contact owns a 2012 Ford F-150. After the vehicle was shut off, the battery failed and the vehicle could not be restarted. The vehicle was taken to blue ridge north georgia Ford (7525 e. Appalachian highway, blue ridge, GA) to be diagnosed, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The contact was also informed that the remote control module was damaged due to the battery failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 39,000.
Parasitic battery drain burned and corrsion damage from water leaks into the electrical system. This affected passenger air bag deployment and seat restraint. Vehicle was stationary, battery died, new battery placed in vehicle and dead next day. Ford motor unresponsive and without transportation for one month!.
