Engine Burning Oil problems of the 2019 Ford F-150

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? -5. 0 coyote motor oil consumption -1st inspection because we found… oil consumption, found vehicle consumed 3qts of oil in 2,985 miles. TSB 19-2365 performed previous visit. Followed oil consumption diagnostics. Engine passed cylinder leakage test and compression test. Found all cylinders 160-170psi. Found cylinder leakage less than 5%. Let vehicle sit overnight with spark plugs out and inspected valves, no signs of valve seal leakage. Did find oil "wiping" on cylinder walls, indicating oil control rings sticking in pistons. Recommend long block replacement as short block is obsolete -2nd inspection because we found… performed ring gap measurements and cylinder out of round measurements. Found oil control rings for cylinders 1, 3, 4, and 5 out of spec. Spec is 0. 15-0. 45mm. Cylinder 1-0. 48mm, cylinder 3-0. 53mm, cylinder 4-0. 48mm and cylinder 5-0. 51mm. Also found cylinders 3, 4, 6, and 8 out of round. Spec is 0. 0005in. Cylinder 3-0. 0007, cylinder 4-0. 0006, cylinder 6-0. 0006, and cylinder 8-0. 0006. The cylinders on these engines are not serviceable per Ford. Short block replacement is necessary. Short blocks are obsolete for these vehicles, so long block replacement is required. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? -my family financially and physically have been put at risk. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? -yes has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? -yes were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? -check engine light came on July 4, 2024.

2 Engine Burning Oil problem

Failure Date: 04/10/2021

The vehicle appears to be using an excessive amount of oil and after operating for periods of time, the smell of burnt oil is apparent. Vehicle has less than 14,000 miles; there are no visible leaks, no visible damage or defect to the oil pan, and no visible defect or damage to the quick drain assembly. Vehicle oil was at maximum threshold one month ago and is now at lower eyelet of the dip stick indicator. Intelligent oil life indicator states that oil life is at 65%.

Oil consumption engine using at least 2 quarts of oil every 1500 t0 2000 miles since I bought this vehicle I have changed the oil twice and each time it goes threw 2 plus quarts within 1500 t0 2000 miles of being changed. . Added 5w20 synthetic oil each time 4 to 5 qts. Since having the truck. Mileage now 14,230 this is not acceptable for a new engine!.
