Every time that the vehicle is started the sink system defaults to where no memory is saved. The menu becomes an operative where no buttons on the touchscreen can be pushed, as well as the rear camera will get stuck on the screen while and drive trying to reset the system makes it somewhat operable, but a master reset cannot be performed as the screen freezes.
Rear view camera used to glitch when put in reverse. Now it goes completely black (or blue) when vehicle is in reverse. There was a recall on this involving 2021 and newer models but I believe this problem goes back even further. Because it’s a truck, I have a huge blind spot in the back when reversing and I worry mostly about a potential accident involving property, persons, or even my own children. It’s very unsafe. I want to note that I was in contact with Ford customer service but they said that my vehicle wasn’t covered under the recall and that there was nothing they can do for me.
After purchasing my truck, it was discovered that the back up camera doesn't work. It will work on occasion when the truck is put in reverse. The safety for myself or others is that I cannot see behind me when backing up. I have not taken the vehicle in for an inspection since I have been told that this is an issue for other Ford f150's in the same year. When backing up my screen says camera not available.
